“ I’ve found that this happens a lot in my work. I will write about something long before I actually feel it or experience it. It’s strange and curious.” YES YESY YES YES YES! Such a bizarre, mystifying part of creativity. I’m humbled by the intelligence of the unconscious mind. What a profound inquiry into gender you entered and then embraced when your daughter shared her truth with you. I’m deeply touched to hear how your relationship and friendship has evolved. Looking forward to reading this novel.

Ben, I had to sign up to a significant commitment to this serialized novel before I could allocate time to read it (short stories are significantly easier ) when I finally read the introduction, I noticed that it is in my interest area, with AI, science fiction (sort of) and consciousness. Same as westworld? We’ll see. Excited to launch this adventure.

Thanks Kimberly. Creativity is such a curious thing the way it goes underground and surfaces with things we cannot predict or even fully understand sometimes.

Looking forward to diving in, Ben. Your mention of your daughter and the safe space of Atlanta triggered an image of cities as fortresses, which is strange because they are often described as jungles. We are in such a strange, inverted time; maybe your foray into science fiction is also prescient. Here we go! :)
