Very powerful. I totally understand her fear of big crowds like that. My wife is an inch taller than her, and usually latches on pretty tight in large crowds.
Good. But am I the only one that's a bit uncomfortable with the word "stranger"? She's not. She comes to our home, we queue at the shop and ride the metro with her. We change her life with the things we say and the people we vote for. We know her. She's us, not a stranger.
