Whoooooah, Ben!

That final scene, that final line! 👏👏👏

You really set all this up so well. After the last episode, knowing what was actually going on here...!

Was just clicking share on that line, or the setup in the paragraph before. So good!

Not only did I not anticipate this dark turn of events, I am anxiously holding my breath for everyone locked inside the trailer... So much suspense!

Thanks for reading, Troy. We’re down to the last five episodes so things won’t be letting up.

Wow, I'm blown away by the courage it must have taken to write this. I get so fond of my characters, I could not imagine writing an outcome like this. Of course, Mark is the weak link and Fitzgerald knew just how to press his buttons. The inevitability is so well set up, it's both shocking and satisfying. I also admire the complexity of these characters - they are flawed, likeable, stupid, idealistic, loyal, and ruthless, and they can't escape the consequences of their bad choices.

Thanks, Julie. It’s never easy for me to kill a character but the internal logic of the plot will demand its pound of flesh to balance the scales. I will miss Schultz and all his pompous complexities.

Damn… I never thought I’d find myself feeling heartbroken for Shultz of all people. I listened while I was driving and I didn’t realize how tight I was gripping the steering wheel until the theme tune kicked in and I was snapped out of my entrancement! The blue period of HH feels like a distant memory now…

You’re the first person to mention the fact that the color scheme changed for the back half of the book! The blue period was a long time ago. I feel a nontrivial amount of guilt, knowing that I am causing distress to the sweet soul who delivers these delicate, soul-nourishing meditations on death and birds every week that I so look forward to. Doesn’t seem like a good trade for you, Chloe!

It’s the good kind of distress! The entertained, lost in it kind of a distress. The kind that I keep coming back for again & again! It’s a more than fair trade 🙏❤️

The FEAR this conjures up of the fact that such a thing might be possible in real life.

But what about Deepu??? This is exactly why I've always said NO to reality shows... ;)

I know, right? I've always wanted to produce a mash-up reality show called Dancing with the Scars. Plastic Surgery Gone Wrong meets Dancing with the Stars.
