Oh this is so good! Favorite line: “Your brother must be really fucking tired of shoveling all that shit behind the horse you ride!” Someday I’d love to have a conversation with you about where that line came from, the experience of that emerging on the page, what it felt like. I picture you writing along, in the flow, and out pops this zinger. Or maybe you had it from early in the project and finally found the perfect place where it belongs and just the right character to say it. I think one of my favorite things about this story is seeing your characters from other characters’ points of view, as well as from within their own interiority. Maybe this is the hallmark of a psychological thriller? I love the kaleidoscopic feel of it—to see these characters from all these different vantage points.
Thanks, Julie! You're 100% right about that line, it fell out of the sky when I was in the flow of writing. The beauty of immersing in each of these characters is that I begin to hear their voices and they stop being cardboard cut-outs whose only purpose is to advance the plot. Thanks for reading and commenting, friend.
This makes me smile! It's magic when that happens - a good sign you are no longer "in control." I like to picture a cosmic green room where characters wait until it's their turn to enlist one of us in telling their story. Kind of like "Wings of Desire" crossed with "The Lovely Bones." Maybe they chat while waiting, speculate on who they'll get or share their hopes to be assigned to a sensitive writer with a good ear.
It's coming. It feels wrong to be doling out the last seven episodes in the usual fashion, but even if I wanted to double up or drop them all at once, I don't have the bandwidth right now to record all the narration. Thanks for reading and commenting, Nathan.
Ugh I'm so angry and I don't know who to be most angry at...!!! Eve for being more worried about her power and wealth than Jessie and Deepu? Schultz for being in on it from the get-go? The terrorists? The world? Bah! 🤣
Obviously slightly devastated by Scott’s infidelity, but that aside, what an episode! I’ve no idea how the inevitable battle of wills is going to play out, or how long they’re going to keep the news from everyone in the house, but either way I’m on the edge of my seat waiting. You are quite the puppet master, Wakeman!
I’m deeply sorry for this betrayal Chloe. I told Scott not to do it. I told him he was a fool but he’s a bit of a lightweight and I think the bottle of wine eroded his resolve.

I love that. I think at some level we're all fictional characters waiting in the wings.
Ooooo! My brain just did a little backflip.
Haha, that was my favourite line too! 😆
It's genius
Another super episode, Ben!
Loved the "lupine crouch" line (so visual) along with the horse shit line quoted by Julie. I laughed out loud at that one.
I feel the feverish imminence of an ending edging our way!

So glad I could rile you up MTF! Thanks for reading.
It’s almost funny how resistant I feel to this serial nearing an end.
But at the same time it’s so damn good I can’t help but love the ride.
Also jumping on the Julie and Nathan train—that horse shit line is fantastic and so perfect for the character.
Can’t wait till next Tuesday.
Thanks, Holly! Who knew horse shit had so much appeal?
🤣

Typical bloody Scott
Uh-oh, I feel crunch time coming for Schultz. A lot of decisions to be made imminently that will determine what kind of people they all really are.
Yes, Schultz is feeling a wee bit stressed at the moment.
This leaves me wondering who the real schemers are...
