Wow, Jesse! Preach! I’ll admit, this catches me in a downward spiral over big events as well as personal failings. So I’ve sunk a bit lower after his performance. 😢 But I can also admire the craft here -- how you bring this big-picture reality into the story via sympathetic characters, exposing our ignorance and complicity, questioning assumptions. It’s riveting and devastating.

Thank you, Julie. That's high praise I'm not sure I deserve but I'll take it on this gloomy day when as I'm shackled to work on money-making ventures instead of playing in the creative sandbox.

This just keeps getting better. The interaction between characters is genuine. And as I've said before, no one is all good or all bad. Here, we see real people trying to sort things out.

Bowing to Jessie. The layers of his character keep pulling me near. I imagine sometimes you feel so close to them that when it’s all said and done, there will be a necessary grieving? You’ve created for yourself a community of misfits, intellects, zealots and most of all, friends.

Thanks, Kim. It is a weird kind of relationship I have with these people now having spent years in their company and now months up close and personal with them in a 3'x7' bathroom as I channel their voices. I'm not sure what I will do with myself when all this is over in May.

I’m nearing the finish line too and already feeling pangs of grief, for different reasons obviously since my characters live on, but it’s still an ending to a very sweet journey of sharing.

Fantastic sense of immediacy and emotion in Jessie's recording, and that last zinger - wow! Absolutely love the turn this has taken, such a perfect way to work a message into the plot without evangelizing. Love it!

Thanks so much, Troy. I was worried about that. Glad to know the story doesn’t collapse under the message.

Oof, what an episode! Jessie’s speech was something else! I’m on a train listening with headphones I and couldn’t not applaud when he finished. I just adore these characters you’ve made, Ben. Thank you. Not to mention the very real issues that you’re speaking to and highlighting here.

I would totally feel like I’ve arrived as an author, if my words solicited an outcry on public transportation! Thanks for reading and commenting, friend.

Marvelous. I feel like a broken record, but I have to say it again. Your character development, your storytelling is stupendous. Not to mention how absolutely spot on the message delivered by Jesse. Wowsa!

Layers upon layers.

This is the moment when you marvel at the elaborate nature of what these people are doing, only to then realise that it's even more elaborate and meta because you, Ben, are the one who has crafted it all! 👏
