Another banger! I so admire how you can pack so much into these scenes. Your perception of the different psychologies and motivations is so sensitive and interesting. Every character is complex and necessary, e.g. Fran, who voices our own doubts about the terrorists’ aim, and holds me accountable to my own quick credulity. I’ll be holding Jayden in my heart this week.
This is turning into such a headtrip, Ben! Never saw this whole twist coming, and I'm loving it and quite invested now - it's also bringing the characters into such sharper focus.🧑🍳💋
I love Jayden more and more with each episode, and I love seeing what Jessie has sparked in her. I cannot wait to see how her refusal to play unfolds. I wish I was in Houze!! Vive la révolution!!
Really love the way the characters are trying to figure things out and sparring in the dialogue. Some great voices. I think along the way, you've really been able to play with voice in a great way. It so difficult to capture so many different characters in their uniqueness in that way. Thanks for a good read, Ben! Excited to hear what happens next.
The brilliant unfolding continues. I don’t know how you do it. I’m particularly carrying Jayden with me after this chapter, feeling her own layers and longing to give them voice. I half expressed her not to return to the house at all, but it seems maybe she’s returned to just pack her things….or not….😏
I want to compliment you once more on your character development. There are so many personalities to manage in this project, and you do a fantastic job. Everyone’s reactions seem exactly true to not only who you’ve showed us so far but also that truth of life that people continue to surprise us, the more we get to know them. Love your mad story writing skills, Ben!
Another fantastic episode, Ben. The pace continues. Loved the two viewpoints here, from outside and within the house. A beautifu, powerfull speech at the end by Jayden.
This story delivers a compelling mix of suspense and emotional depth, cleverly navigating the high stakes of a hostage situation against the backdrop of a reality show turned survival drama. What stands out is the narrative's reflection on broader societal issues, like the ethical implications of technological advancements and the exploitation of vulnerable communities. It's a reminder of the blurred lines between entertainment and real-world consequences.

I like that it's not a simple "good guy/bad guy" thing. The real world was never so simple.
