Chris knew he had given it his best shot, but it wasn’t going to happen. This crazy old fucker would kick off clutching his patents. His money and his influence would all be gone – distributed to a bunch of well-marketed charitable foundations already too fat and happy to change the world."

Loved the music intro. And noticing how you tie in music, songs thar come up, in a way that brings life to the story. I love having that sensory piece, it brings it more to life. Often people skip music in writing, but for you it is like another character. And your people are funny.
Love it! This is giving me ideas for my own novel, which has been in the works for too long. A good 1/2 to 2/3 is probably ready to go, so why the heck NOT?! Love the humor in this, the verge on absurdity -- great way to poke fun at saving the world, which is usually weighed down with sincerity (I speak from long, sometimes painful experience). Why not lighten up a bit? Bravo.
